A FRESH START TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR .

26 Years Old...Born 6/22/71

INJURY: Incomplete Transverse Myelitis T-2 Level since 20 months old...Quadriplegic

I have been competing nationally since 1995 on the tennis circuit. I've had my far share of tennis related injuries over the years...but that is to be expected when you play as hard I do.

1997 was the biggest injury set-back and I didn't even do it on the tennis court. While in Florida back in April I was hurt getting out of a stupid elevator. This set off an infection in my right leg later cause it to be amputated. I just my stitches removed on December 23...tank god. Now it's time for me to get back on the ball and forget 1997 ever happened.

I'm working on trying to get somesort of financial sponsorship, so I can compete this up coming season. So if you read this and feel your interested in sponsoring please write or call :

Hello my name is James R. Andrews, Jr. The division I play in is Quad "A" as far as singles competition goes. As for doubles that varies, I've played Quad "A", Men's "D", Men's "C", and even played Men's "B" doubles.

In January/Feb/March/April...before the wheelchair season starts I'm gonna play (able bodies) in singles & doubles leagues in Pleasanton, CA. What better way to get prepared for the wheelchair season.
